December 2010 Year in Review

November
This month we announced another first for the Private Service Community, open enrollment began for the DEMA, Dental, Hearing & Vision Plan. DEMA was pleased to announce our new relationship with ABC- America's Best Cleaners, which also provide us with a featured article "Save the Stains for the Pros". The Private Service Spotlight was Robert Cholewinski.
October
In this month's newsletter, we were excited to announce a record breaking month in which we had 71 new members. We also covered some "housekeeping" items in regards to some of our new programs. The featured article was "Hiring a Home Automation Integrator?" by Grand Home Automation. The Private Service Spotlight was Penny Speir.
September
This month we unveiled details for the plan design for our national Dental, Hearing & Vision Plan. DEMA also announced our new relationship with DWU. Teresa Leigh provided our readership with the featured article "The First Impression & Photo Tips". We were pleased to announce our new Agency Connection The Help Company. The Private Service Spotlight was Bernadette Guyton.
August / July
This month was a double newsletter, here are some of the highlights: DEMA wrapped up our first membership drive for the Chicago Chapter and also announced the launch of a new chapter in Columbus, Ohio. The Charles MacPherson Academy provided us with the featured article "Things to Think of When Choosing a School". We were also pleased to announce our new Agency Connection with Alter Ego Concierge. The Private Service Spotlight was Peter Baysdell.
June
In this month's DEMA Chronicle, we publicly addressed our policy on Domestic Placement Agencies. The featured article was taken from Reader's Digest Magazine titled "9 Butler's Tips for Impeccable Table Manners". The Private Service Spotlight was Robert Hayman, who wrote The Ambassadors of Service column for the month.
May
This month we joined the ASAE & The Center For Association Leadership to better serve our membership and also highlighted an article "The Benefits of Professional Association Membership". DEMA also launched two new chapters in Washington D.C. and the Orange County area in California. The featured article "Acing the Private Service Interview" was provided by Teresa Leigh of TLHRM. This was a very robust newsletter with multiple new agency and education connections that were announced. The Private Service Spotlight was Katie Ireland.
April
In this month's DEMA Chronicle, we announced development of more new chapters. Our webinar for the month was "Hostage Survival 101" by Michael Guidry of The Guidry Group. The Private Service Spotlight was William Kennicott.
March
This month we announced the creation of our YouTube Channel, DomesticManagers. DEMA also launched two more chapters, in Los Angeles and New York City. The DEMA Conference Survey was also rolled out to the membership. Multiple webinars were announced and the featured article was "Seeking Perfection" by Steven Ferry. The Private Service Spotlight was Evonne Avalos.
February
This month we launched our demographic and conference surveys with TLHRM. The featured article was "New Money and its Challenge to the Private Service Professional" provided by Charles MacPherson. Our new Agency Connection was Precise Home Management. The Private Service Spotlight was Amy Graves.
January
This month we were pleased to announce the first two chapter launches of the year, which were South Florida and Chicago. We also announce new membership dues for our members and multiple webinars. The featured article was "Answers You Need Before You Accept The Job" by TLHRM. Our new Agency Connection was Career Group, Inc. and the Private Service Spotlight was Ron Glazer.
